Larry Dowell, President
Larry's career spans over 30 years in organizational management within the chamber of commerce industry in the upper Midwest, with an emphasis on coalition development, local and state public policy, economic development and political action.
Throughout his career, Larry has served as a manager, executive director, executive vice president, and president for Chambers in Rugby, North Dakota, as well as Alexandria, Montevideo, South Saint Paul and Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, and the Twin West Chamber of Commerce. Prior to retiring as president/CEO from the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce, Larry spent ten years building the organization into the largest local and regional chamber of commerce in the state of Minnesota, representing nearly 2,200 business members.
An active board member of several community organizations, Larry also provides ongoing leadership within the chamber of commerce industry. He is a member and past president of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce Executives and serves on several community boards.
Katie Klein, Business Manager/Client Services Manager

Katie's career with Dowell Stute and Associates began in early 2008 as the first full-time team member hired by the company. As the company's Business and Client Services Manager, Katie's responsibilities include client relations, project management and office administration. She has previous professional experience with Thomson Reuters and Paradise & Associates, where her work focused on finance, accounting and communications. Katie earned her degree in Business
Management and Public Relations from the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul.
Chad Kulas, Public Affairs Manager

Chad joined the Dowell Stute team in August 2010 as our Public Affairs Associate. A Journalism major from the University of St. Thomas, Chad has spent the past eight years specializing in public affairs and communications work at the City of Saint Paul, the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce and the University of Minnesota. Chad’s work at Dowell Stute centers on writing, government affairs and client relations.
Carrie Kirkpatrick, Project Coordinator/Assistant to the President

Serving as Project Coordinator and Assistant to the President, Carrie uses her previous experience as a consultant to political campaigns, non-profits and private companies looking to update their marketing and communications strategies. She assists with coalition and association management on several projects and serves as Dowell Stute's in-house graphic designer. Carrie joined Dowell Stute in June 2011 and earned her Political Communications and Statistics degrees from St. Olaf College.
Paul Kellum, Director of Business Development and Sales

As Dowell Stute’s Director of Business Development and Sales, Paul is responsible for assisting clients with new member sales, retention strategies and fundraising activities. Paul most recently served as the director of business development for Capitol Direct, a direct mail company based in Eagan, specializing in B2B sales and promotional strategies. Paul is also a licensed Realtor and has worked with Coldwell Banker Burnet since 2005 under the Kellum Group and as a corporate sales trainer. He also has experience as an advertising representative for Sun Newspapers and earned his degree in Communications from the University of Minnesota. Paul started with Dowell Stute in January 2012.
